Chile may have lost today's battle against Scotland in a 3-2 shootout loss, but they definitely won the war as the one-point performance was enough for the South American nation to secure their spot in the Hockey World League Semi-Finals. Joining Chile in Round 3 will be the U.S., which won the Rio Round 2 tournament after securing a straight forward 6-0 win against Trinidad & Tobago. The first clash between the favourites for the top two spots for round three of the World League saw Scotland and United States fight out a pulsating 1-1 draw, but it was the Scots who took the extra point by winning the resulting penalty shoot-out 2-0. However, it is Chile who now top the table after a comfortable 5-1 win over Brazil. In the final game of the day Uruguay defied the world rankings at 50 to defeat 27th Trinidad & Tobago 6-1 to collect their first three points of the tournament. More
